Many websites offer "Bridal Chat" by allowing brides to offer posts for other brides to see. This is an excellent idea in theory but not so in practicality. Not that long ago there was a scandal involving Stacy17. After many complaints lodged by many vendors it was discovered that Stacy17 was not a bride at all but a Long Island wedding DJ. Under the name Stacy17 this vendor made almost 280 posts slamming not only its direct competition, but other wedding vendors that they did not care for. As a result of this scandal some of Long Island's largest photography and DJ companies hired people not only to monitor the negative posts but to also pose as brides to boost their company's image. Take what you read on these sites with a grain of salt and use your own judgment.

When you're shopping for vendors don't hesitate to ask for references. Speak to other brides directly and don't be afraid to shop around.
